It also rose 14% year-on-year. In the first five months of the year, imports of iron ore to the country grew by 13% to 4.25 million tons. Brazil is still the first exporter of iron ore to Turkey, holding 51 percent of its market share. Subsequently, Sweden and South Korea were the next suppliers of iron ore to Turkey.

    Turkish Steel Export Reduction
Recent figures from the Turkish Steel Exporters Association show that the country exported about 9.4 million tons of steel in the first three months of this year, down 2.5 percent from the same period last year. The main reason for this decline was the decline in exports to the United States. The amount of Turkey’s exports has been around 3 million tons, down 16.2 percent. The export of flat sheets has been around 2 million tons.

Increasing Brazilian steel exports to the United States
After the United States imposed new tariffs on steel imports, Brazil’s steel exports to the country rose month after month. In June, Brazil’s steel exports to the United States totaled $ 550 million, nearly tripling about June. The tonnage of exported steel increased from 387 thousand tons the previous year to 885 thousand tons. One reason for this increase in exports was that Brazil was no exception to the US import tariffs. On the other hand, with the end of the Brazilian truck strike, the steel market activity returned to normal and exports improved.

    Japan’s upward electrodes price
Japan’s Graphite Electrode price is expected to increase from October to December of this year from $ 9775 to $ 11,155 per tonne to $ 12445 to $ 13330 per tonne. It should be noted that between January and April of this year, the price of Japanese electrodes was 8,000 to 9,000 dollars a ton, and this year it was three times more expensive. Since the second half of last year, global prices for graphite electrode have fallen since China’s supply dropped
