Offer prices for Russia-origin cold rolled (CR) sheet have widened upward over the past week by 1,400 roubles ($24) per tonne, while prices for hot rolled (HR) sheet have narrowed downward by less than half that amount, Metal Bulletin has heard.
Metal Bulletin’s Russian domestic price assessment on Monday July 17 for 1mm CR sheet was 36,500-38,100 roubles ($616-643) per tonne cpt Moscow, including VAT. This was up from 36,500-36,700 roubles ($616-620) roubles per tonne cpt last week.
Business for July-production material has been heard at prices around 36,500-36,700 roubles ($616-620) per tonne cpt, and demand for CR sheet was said to be “quite good”.
HR sheet
Offers for August-produced 4mm HR sheet were heard at 32,550 roubles ($549) per tonne cpt Moscow. Business for July-rolled product has been heard done at 32,500 roubles ($549) per tonne cpt.
Metal Bulletin’s Russian domestic price assessment on Monday for 4mm HR sheet was 32,500-32,550 roubles ($549) per tonne cpt Moscow, including VAT. This compared with 32,500-33,100 roubles ($549-559) roubles per tonne cpt last week.
Plate
Metal Bulletin’s weekly Russian domestic 20mm plate assessment on Monday was 31,900-32,800 roubles ($538-554) per tonne cpt Moscow, including VAT. This was down from 33,800-34,000 roubles ($571-574) per tonne cpt Moscow.
A sale by Mechel was heard at 31,900 roubles ($538) per tonne cpt Moscow, while an offer from Asha Metallurgical Plant was heard at 32,800 roubles ($554) per tonne cpt Moscow.
