The uptrend continued in CIS flat steel market during the week to Monday April 19 on full order books, sources said.
*** CIS FLAT STEEL , hot-rolled coil (HRC)
Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for steel hot-rolled coil (HRC), export, fob Black Sea, CIS was $945-995 per tonne on April 19, up from $۸۹۵-۹۱۵ per tonne a week before.
“The Russians are out of the market but we expect them to come back with offers for July shipment material next week,“ one trader who deals with the Middle East said.
Buyers from Turkey and North Africa confirmed that they had not received any offers from Russian HRC exporters for their outlets as well.
“Material is unavailable so any price might be possible,“ one trader from Turkey said.
Offers of HRC from Russia were heard only from irregular suppliers, who normally sell pipes, at $980 per tonne fob, sources told Fastmarkets.
Only light coil was available for July shipment from Ukrainian exporters because heavy coil was all sold out, a supplier said.

In Turkey, offers of Ukraine-origin HRC were heard at $970-980 per tonne cfr, or close to $945-955 per tonne fob early in the reported week before offers went up to $1,010 per tonne cfr – equivalent to $985 per tonne fob – later in the week, sources said.
One source expects Ukrainian offers to rise to $1,030 per tonne cfr next week.
In Egypt, offers of Ukraine-origin HRC were heard at $1,030 per tonne cfr or close to $995 per tonne fob, sources said
*** cold-rolled coil
Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for steel cold-rolled coil, export, fob Black Sea, CIS was at $1,015-1,025 per tonne on April 19, stable week on week amid a lack of market activity due to a absence of offers.
Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for steel heavy plate 8-50mm, export, fob Black Sea, CIS was left unchanged at $875-945 per tonne on Monday on limited activity.
