China has more air pollution control cities in its northern region. This is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions next winter. It seems that China’s control of the pollution index will become more strict in the future. In the following, we will describe the latest status of China’s activities regarding environmental restrictions. Please be with Artan Press.

*** Pollution index control is on the agenda of the Chinese government

According to the draft policy program published by the Ministry of Environment, the cities of Hebei North, North North, East and South Shandong and South Henan will join the fight against environmental pollution. China has stepped up its crackdown on the issue. In this regard, the total number of affected cities is 64 cities. Pollution index control has spread to more cities. This issue was last reviewed on September 16. This situation is a significant increase over the previous draft. The previous case included Beijing, Tianjin alone, and 26 other neighboring cities in Hebei, Shanxi, Shandong and Henan provinces.

*** Changing the level of environmental pollution channels for Chinese industries

The cities included in the latest draft of the pollution control plan aim to reduce the average concentration of 2.5 dpm of particulate matter and the number of days of severe pollution between October this year and the end of March next year, between November 15 and March 15. . Controlling the pollution index with this situation is likely to be challenging in China. The plan also includes the uncontrolled expansion of projects with high levels of energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Such projects will face rigorous exploration and refinement, mainly in the petrochemical, steel, coke, iron and coal industries.

*** Strictness in determining the maximum production of factories

In the case of steel mills, local governments are required to meet their annual targets for reducing crude steel production. During the six-month period, first-class factories must keep their production away from the maximum production of one year ago, even if they can impose their production restrictions. Controlling the pollution index will reduce steel production in China. At the same time, those who are classified according to their levels of pollution in the lower classes are subject to production restrictions at different levels. The ministry believes that a comprehensive approach should not be taken. Compared to the previous draft, which was published among market sources, the new plan does not specify the amount of production reduction that will be applied to steel mills during this period.
