Northern European HRC prices stabilise, offers expected to increase
The rebar and billet import markets in the UAE were slow this week, as market participants preferred to wait for new domestic rebar prices.
Import scrap prices increased further in Turkey, this time in deals for US material. This move is largely matching the uptrend in Turkey’s segments for square billet and rebar. Moreover, mills are expected to book more scrap cargoes for August shipments, and a further price increase may happen.
